Today, we’re diving into two important questions from the Heidelberg Catechism that help us understand who Jesus really is and what it means for our lives. These questions ask who is our Savior and why we need Him. Who is Our Savior? The Heidelberg Catechism (Q&A 29) tells us that our Savior is Jesus, meaning “Savior,” and that He saves us from our sins. Jesus is not just a historical figure or a good teacher. He is the Son of God who came to rescue us from sin and death. Why Do We Need Him? According to Q&A 30, we need Jesus because without Him, we are lost and separated from God.
